Federal fugitive arrested in Alabama with more than 2 pounds of drugs, Tec-9

A federal fugitive was arrested Friday in Alabama with more than two pounds of various drugs and a semi-automatic gun, authorities said.

Federal warrants for possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during a drug crime were served on Alexander City resident Henry Tarvale Finley, 39, by the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, said the Tallapoosa County sheriff’s office.

At Finley’s home on Nathan Street, the task forces found 627 grams of marijuana, 240 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 14 grams of ecstasy and 136 packs of THC edibles that Finley made inside the house, authorities alleged.

Investigators found multiple items Finley allegedly used to extract THC from marijuana and inject it into candy and edibles.

Along with the drugs, authorities said they found an Intratec 9mm, or “Tec-9,” at the residence.

Finley was charged with manufacturing of a controlled substance, unlawful possession with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a pistol and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation remained ongoing as of Friday.
