Super-popular grocery chain Aldi continues its rapid growth with plans for hundreds of new stores in 2025.

Aldi opened its first two stores in the Las Vegas area today, one in Henderson and the other in North Las Vegas. The new stores are part of the retailer’s five-year national growth strategy that includes opening more than 225 new locations in 2025 and 800 stores by the end of 2028.

“Shoppers shouldn’t have to compromise on quality to save money, and at ALDI, they don’t have to. We’ve built our reputation on delivering real value without cutting corners,” Jason Hart, CEO, ALDI said in a statement. “With 25% of U.S. households and counting trusting our products and low prices, we’re growing rapidly from coast-to-coast.”

A third Las Vegas area store is planned for mid-May.

Aldi opened nearly 120 stores in 2024 and now has more than 2,400 locations in the U.S., making it the third-largest chain in the country and the, according to its press release, the fastest-growing. The primary focus of the growth is the northeast and Midwest regions, as well as Arizona and Southern California, the chain said.
