‘Fast X’ trailer: Vin Diesel, along with family, in showdown with Jason Momoa
Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his family are back for the 10th and final installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, as the first trailer of “Fast X” was released Friday.
Jason Momoa, who plays the bad guy Dante, and Brie Larson, who plays the mysterious Tess, lead the new additions to the franchise. Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson and Rita Moreno also enter with “Fast” veterans Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang and Scott Eastwood.
Also back are Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw, John Cena’s Jakob Toretto, Helen Mirren’s Magdalene “Queenie” Ellmanson-Shaw and Charlize Theron’s Cipher.
It appears “Fast Five” storylines are revisited.
Back in the day, Dom and Brian (Paul Walker) pulled a bank heist in Rio de Janeiro to take down Hernan Reyes. As it turns out, Dante is Reyes’ son and is ready for revenge.
By the looks of the trailer once-evil brother Jakob Toretto is welcomed back into the fold, while Dom is raising little Brian with Letty.
“Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance,” states the film’s official synopsis.
“Fast X” is set to hit theaters on May 19.
