Family sought for 6 people who died in Jefferson County in recent weeks
Authorities are looking for family members of six people who have died in Jefferson County over the past month.
Their bodies are ready to be released for burial, but the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has not been able to find and notify their next of kin.
Victor Lee, a 71-year-old Black male, was found dead Dec. 30 in the 200 block of Third Ave. S.W.
Lee was found dead inside his apartment by the property manager who was performing a welfare check at the request of a concerned friend.
His cause of death is pending, but Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said there was no evidence of trauma or foul play.
Lee listed addresses in Birmingham, Center Point, and Montgomery in Alabama and in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara in California.

Beverly A. McBrayer, an 81-year-old white female, died Dec. 10 at UAB St. Vincent’s in Birmingham.
McBrayer, who lived in Nauvoo, died of natural causes.
She listed previous address in Carbon Hill, Jasper and Nauvoo.

Hugh Donnie Lawson, Jr(Contributed)
Hugh Donnie Lawson, Jr., a 54-year-old white male, died at UAB Hospital in Birmingham on Dec. 27.
Lawson lived in Parrish and was a patient at UAB where he died of natural causes.
He also listed previous addresses in Carbon Hill, Jasper, Nauvoo, and Parrish.

Kimberlie Dawn Caldwell, a 48-year-old Black female, died Dec. 30 at UAB St. Vincent’s.
Caldwell, who lived in Birmingham, died of natural causes.
She listed addresses in Birmingham and Center Point.

Monty Hale Wilson,(Contributed)
Monty Hale Wilson, a 74-year-old white male, died Jan. 7 in the 1900 block of Mountain Drive in Tarrant.
Wilson was found unresponsive by his roommate inside their home.
Yates said the cause of death is pending additional laboratory testing, but said there was no evidence of trauma or foul play.
Wilson in 1983 and 2002 listed a Perry Oliver of Robinwood as an emergency contact but, all efforts to locate Oliver have failed.

Warnie Robert Booth(Contributed)
Warnie Robert Booth, a 78-year-old white male, died Jan. 11 in the 2800 block of Highland Avenue South.
Booth was a tenant at Greenbriar at the Altamont Nursing Home and under the care of Compassus Hospice. He died of natural causes.
Yates said Booth had ties to Mobile from at least 1979-1990.
Family members are asked to call the coroner’s office at 205-930-3603.
