Family sought for 56-year-old man who died in Birmingham boarding home

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding family members for a man who died in Birmingham last week.

Brooks Seaborn Langley, 56, died July 5 at a boarding home where he lived in the 4300 block of Jackson Street, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Langley was found dead in his bedroom at about 6:15 p.m. that Wednesday by boarding home staff.

The cause of his death is pending additional laboratory studies.

Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said all attempts to identify and locate family have failed. Langley is believed to have originally been from Florida.
