Birmingham police announced Sunday the arrest of one of the two suspects who entered the Texaco gas station, 108 Oxmoor Road, and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.

The suspects stole money and items from the business. The clerk was not injured.

Chad Stephen Parker, 40, of Falkville, Alabama, was arrested in connection with the Texaco robbery, according to a statement Sunday from Officer Truman Fitzgerald, assistant public information officer for the Birmingham Police Department. Parker has been charged with first degree robbery and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail.

The second suspect has not yet been arrested. Authorities said the investigation is still ongoing.
