Fairhope residentsâ water bills may see an increase soon
Customers of Fairhope’s water and sewer utility will likely face increased rates this spring, according to an ordinance set to be introduced at the Feb. 19 city council meeting.
Mayor Sherry Sullivan said this ordinance will help Fairhope keep up with rising costs of operation for the city’s utility service. Fairhope is currently conducting a “cost of service study,” which determines the amount of expenses incurred by operating the utility.
