Fairhope developers plan new homes in one of Mobile’s historic districts

Almost two years since announcing their first new housing development in Mobile’s historic districts, two Fairhope developers are taking on a similar project, this time in the city’s Oakleigh Garden Historic District.

The Residences at Oakleigh is a planned, seven-lot single-family subdivision that will be built on the corner of Marine Street and Church Street, across the street from Marine Street Lofts, an apartment complex. The homes are slated to be pre-sold this week or next week, Butler said.
