Fairfield group making the city ‘unrecognizable’ through multimillion dollar redevelopment
On Wednesday not only will Fairfield see the opening of its first grocery store since 2016, but a local private organization will announce a multimillion-dollar development plan for downtown.
The new Carver Jones Market will be the first grocery store Fairfield has had since the Walmart Supercenter closed eight years ago, according to a news release, which notes that the locally owned store will “afford residents more convenient access to food and fresh produce.”
