Ex-Alabama WR Shazz Preston headed to Group of 5 school
Former Alabama wide receiver Shazz Preston is transferring to Tulane, he announced Monday.
Preston, a four-star recruit in Alabama’s 2022 class, played in 10 games (mostly on special teams) that last two years. The St. James, La., native has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Preston is one of several pass-catchers who have left the Alabama team either since the end of the regular season or since coach Nick Saban retired last Wednesday. Among others, receiver Isaiah Bond transferred to Texas, while tight end Amari Niblack entered the portal on Sunday.
