Ex-Alabama, UAB LB Jackson Bratton lands at North Alabama

Former Alabama and UAB linebacker Jackson Bratton has landed at North Alabama.

The Muscle Shoals native started all eight of 12 games for the Blazers as a redshirt junior in 2023 and finished as the team’s second-leading tackler. A former 4-star recruit, he has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Bratton signed with Alabama as part of the 2020 recruiting class, but never saw action in two seasons with the Crimson Tide (getting the free COVID year for his first season and redshirting the second). He transferred to UAB, where he spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Bratton totaled 19 tackles and one pass breakup in six games in 2022. He became a starter this past season, totaling 70 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery.

North Alabama finished 3-9 in 2023, its first season under coach Brent Dearmon.
