One Alabama player already transferred this offseason from Tuscaloosa to Colorado, and now he is part of an effort to bring a second Tide transfer to Boulder.

Former Alabama linebacker Demouy Kennedy, who committed to transfer to Colorado in February, posed for photos in Buffaloes uniforms with now-former Alabama cornerback Jahquez Robinson, who entered the NCAA transfer portal Tuesday.

Both players posted the photos to their Instagram accounts late Friday night, after Robinson had tweeted early Friday morning he was visiting Boulder.

“F*** it, We Ball,” Kennedy captioned the photos on his Instagram with a “Soon” emoji.

“Mr. Too Sticky…. #BIG23 #23mil,” wrote Robinson on his Instagram.

Colorado is coached by Deion Sanders, who was hired this offseason after three seasons as Jackson State’s head coach. Sanders hired Alabama safeties coach Charles Kelly as his defensive coordinator, then added Alabama special assistant and former outside linebackers coach Sal Sunseri as the Buffaloes’ defensive tackles coach.

Robinson did not yet indicate he had committed to transfer to Colorado. The fourth-year cornerback appeared in only one game over his first two seasons with the Tide before participating in six games last season as a primary backup at cornerback. The Jacksonville, Florida native was a four-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class.

Kennedy, from Theodore, was the state of Alabama’s top-rated recruit in the 2020 class, and was ranked No. 39 nationally by 247 Sports’ industry composite. He appeared in 23 games over three seasons with Alabama, all as a reserve. His 2022 season was cut short after he tore his ACL on October 1 at Arkansas.

Kennedy was one of 14 scholarship players to transfer out of Alabama during the winter transfer window, which closed in mid-January. Robinson is the third Alabama player to enter the portal during the spring window, which is open from April 15-30. He joined tight end Elijah Brown and cornerback Trequon Fegans, which leaves Alabama with six scholarship cornerbacks for its spring game Saturday.

Saturday’s A-Day game kicks off at 2 p.m. CT in Bryant-Denny Stadium and will only stream on ESPN+ and SEC Network+. Colorado’s spring game begins at the same time and will air on ESPN’s main television network.
