Gaillard Builders purchased a 6,500-square-foot building at 612 Dauphin St. in downtown Mobile for $1.15 million, according to court records.

Tommy Gleason of CRE Mobile represented the seller. Sandy Wise of Wise Living Real Estate worked for the buyers.

The purchase also included a vacant lot at Dauphin and Dearborn streets. Gaillard Builders plan to use the building for office space.

The transaction was one of several making news in coastal Alabama in recent days.

NCS SSI has leased a 4,636-square-foot property at 732 Lakeside Drive in Mobile, according to Mike Reid of Merrill P Thomas Co., who represented the landlord. The property includes a showroom, office and warehouse. National Coatings & Supplies and Single Source Inc., NCS SSI, is an automotive paint and industrial paint supplier with a national network of more than 200 stores and multiple distribution centers.

Epik Moments, an entertainment venue, has leased 1,800 square feet of space at 3207 International Drive in Mobile, according to Josh W. Hall and Brandon Broadus of CRE Mobile, who represented the landlord. Tommy Praytor of Praytor Realty worked for the tenant.

Fleur 16, a new event space, has leased the 16th floor of the Waterman-Smith building at 61 St. Joseph St. in downtown Mobile, according to Josh W. Hall of CRE Mobile, who represented the landlord. Fleur 16 is now available for booking.

A development group is looking to build Airport Oaks Apartments, a 240-unit complex at 600, 700 and 800 West I-65 Service Road S. in Mobile. The developers are asking for a modification to a previously approved Planned Unit Development at the site, according to Mobile Planning Commission records.

Watch for Big Mike’s Steakhouse to be built at 9070 Moffett Road in Semmes. The steakhouse chain has six locations including Orange Beach and another to open in the near future in Bay Minette.
