ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt has tough night on ‘SportsCenter,’ calls it ‘bizarre deal’
It was a rough night for Scott Van Pelt, but the “SportsCenter” host battled through it.
On Wednesday night, the ESPN host – while during his solo late-night show – lost his voice, then took to Twitter to apologize.
“What a bizarre deal,” he tweeted. “Voice just kinda stopped working … while attempting to host a show. Not ideal, to say the least. Apologies for that mess.”
Van Pelt apologized throughout the show and said he felt better than he sounded. In the end, he said he would just get through it.
