ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ names celebrity picker ahead of Oregon-Ohio State game
ESPN announced Thursday that the celebrity picker for Saturday’s “College GameDay” from Eugene, Oregon, ahead of No. 3 Oregon and No. 2 Ohio State will be Emmy-nominated actress Kaitlin Olson.
The Oregon alum is best known for her role as Deandra “Sweet Dee” Reynolds in the FX comedy series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” However, you have recently seen her in the newest ABC hit, “High Potential.” It follows Morgan, a single mom of three kids and how thanks to her exceptional mind, she is able to help to solve a crime as she rearranges evidence during her shift as a cleaner for the police department.
Olson grew up in the Portland and graduated from Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in theater arts in 1997.
Olson received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series in 2022 and 2024 for her performance as DJ Vance in HBO’s “Hacks.”
Saturday’s visit will be the 12th time the Ducks have hosted “GameDay” and their 30th appearance on the show. Oregon has gone 8-3 in their previous 11 times hosting the show.
Host Rece Davis is at the helm for his 10th season, joined at the desk this week by GameDay analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. College football insider Pete Thamel, college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims round out the “GameDay” cast.
