ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ announces Week 10 celebrity picker
Comedian Keegan-Michael Key has been announced as ESPN’s “College GameDay’s” celebrity picker in Happy Valley ahead of the game between No. 3 Penn State and No. 4 Ohio State.
Key, known for his Primetime Emmy Award-winning show “Key & Peele,” has doubled as Penn State coach James Franklin to the delight of players and fans, which you can watch below.
Host Rece Davis will be joined at the desk by analysts Lee Corso, Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. College football insider Pete Thamel, college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims round out the “GameDay” cast.
No. 3 Penn State hosts fourth-ranked Ohio State in a showdown that will have ripple effects on both the Big Ten and College Football Playoff races. The Nittany Lions have dropped seven straight to the Buckeyes dating to 2016. The status of Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is uncertain after he injured his left leg in a win over Wisconsin.
Ohio State quarterback Will Howard grew up a Penn State fan but wasn’t heavily recruited by the Nittany Lions. Howard says that means Penn State felt he wasn’t ‘good enough’ to play there. A loss for the Buckeyes could significantly damage their CFP chances.
