ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ agrees on outcome of CFP games, Sugar Bowl, except for one pick

The ESPN “College GameDay” crew all seemed to be in agreement with the outcome of Saturday’s College Football Playoff games, then Lee Corso dropped a bomb.

The “GameDay” analyst donned the Brutus mascot head and picked the Buckeyes to beat No. 1 Georgia in the Peach Bowl. Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee went Georgia.

He and Joey Galloway were the only GameDay analysts to pick the Buckeyes to win.

Saturday’s meeting between Ohio State and Georgia is only the second time ever these two programs have met, with their lone previous meeting coming in the 1993 Citrus Bowl. Georgia won that contest 21-14.

Meanwhile, the guys were all in agreement that Alabama will be too much for Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl.

“Bryce Young is going to play and Will Anderson Jr.,” Howard said. “That means these guys want they really want to win. I think it is going to be a great game, high scoring game. I’m going with Bama.”

McAfee admits the Kansas State story is a good one, but it won’t matter/

“Kansas State just beats TCU the way they do,” he said. “What a moment. Bama.”

Corso shared an impressive stat when picking the Tide.

“Under coach Saban, Alabama has a secret weapon going for them this morning,” he explained. “They are 25-0 in games kicked off at 11:30 a.m. central time or earlier. 25-0. Forget the Xs and Os.”
