Enterprise High basketball standout commits to nearby Division I program

Tucker Wadsworth isn’t going far to continue his basketball career.

The Enterprise High School guard has committed to Troy, the 2026 prospect announced on Monday.

Wadsworth picked the nearby Trojans over other Division I offers that include South Florida and Stetson.

Last season saw Wadsworth average 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the Wildcats, which advanced to the South Regional.

He also helped lead Enterprise to a Class 7A runner-up finish in 2024 with an upset of No. 1 Huntsville, scoring 18 points and hitting four 3-pointers in the semifinal matchup.

Wadsworth was a Class 7A third-team all-state pick as a sophomore with honorable mention recognition last season.

Last season under head coach Scott Cross, the Trojans finished 23-11 and won the Sun Belt Conference tournament, marking the program’s third appearance in the NCAA tournament at the Division I level.

The Enterprise rising senior is one of the first boys basketball players in Alabama’s 2026 class to announce their commitments. Other prospects include Jaylen Alexander (Oxford), Jackson Sheffield (Hoover), Milton Jones (Fairfield) and Gage Mayfield (Hale County).
