State authorities on Thursday night issued an emergency missing child alert for a 12-year-old boy who disappeared this morning in Bayou La Batre.

Kaiden Vail, 12, was last seen around 10 a.m. Thursday near South Wintzell Avenue in Bayou La Batre, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, which issued the alert.

Kaiden was last seen wearing khaki pants, a red shirt and possibly a blue jacket.

He was described as 5-feet 4-inches tall, about 100 pounds, with hazel eyes and blonde or strawberry blonde hair.

Anyone with information on Kaiden’s whereabouts was asked to call Bayou La Batre police at 251-824-2757 or 911.
