If you haven’t made plans for Easter fun, better hop to it. Several festive events are scheduled in the Birmingham metro area, many of them focused on children, colored eggs and outdoor scavenging. Here are 10 that caught our eye, all bunny approved.

EASTER EGG HUNT AND SPRING MARKET

What to expect: More than 20,000 filled eggs to find, meet-and-greets with Easter Bunny, spring market, guided hikes, wildlife activities, rides on rescue horses and more.

When: April 1, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Egg hunts timed by age of children, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Egg Hunt for dogs at 3 p.m. Visits with bunny set for 9 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Where: Oak Mountain State Park, 200 Terrace Drive, Pelham. Egg hunts off Terrace Drive in multi-use field by Discover Shelby Pavilion.
