East Alabama woman stabbed, tried to run over ex with their 4 kids in the Jeep, records state; adult female also injured
An Attalla woman has been arrested following a domestic disturbance during which she allegedly stabbed her ex-husband and tried to run over him with a vehicle.
The incident took place with her four children in the Jeep, according to court records, but none of the children were injured. The ex-husband and his girlfriend sustained minor injuries.
Tiffany Garrison, 35, was booked into the Etowah County Jail at 11:17 p.m. Thursday. She is charged with two counts of attempted murder, jail records show.
On Thursday, said Sheriff Jonathon Horton, deputies responded to the Duck Springs Chevron on a report of a vehicle hitting a building. The report also said a female had stabbed someone and possibly hit someone with their vehicle.
When deputies arrived, they found the male victim with a minor puncture wound to his chest. The female victim sustained injuries to her hand and fingers.
Garrison’s four children – all under the age of 12 – were in the vehicle with her. The male victim later sought a restraining order against her, court records show.
Horton said sheriff’s Investigator Shannon Thomas made contact with Garrison by phone. She then surrendered to authorities at a church in the Sand Valley area.
The children were found at a home in Sand Valley and were OK. They are now under a DHR safety plan, the sheriff said.
Garrison is being held in $200,000 bond. Authorities said more charges are pending.
