‘Duck Dynasty’ star diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease: He’s ‘not doing well’

Phil Robertson, the star of “Duck Dynasty,” has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

“Phil’s not doing well,” Phil’s son Jase Robertson said during Friday’s episode of “Unashamed with the Robertson Family” podcast. “I think I spoke on the 1000th podcast, we were trying to figure out the diagnosis, but according to the doctors, he has some sort of blood disease causing all kinds of problems.

“It’s like accelerated, and it’s causing problems with his entire body. And he has early stages of Alzheimers. So, if you put those things together, he’s really not doing well. He’s struggling,” he continued.

Jase Robertson also revealed doctors said Phil Robertson is suffering from a blood disease.

Because of his condition, Jase Robertson said, Phil Robertson is literally “unable to sit down and have a conversation.” The patriarch is having trouble walking without “crying out in pain.”

Phil Robertson, 78, starred on “Duck Dynasty” from 2012 to 2017.
