Driver no longer working for Alabama school district after leaving student on bus

An Alabama school district is no longer employing a driver it says left a student on a bus earlier this week.

Autauga County Schools Superintendent Lyman Woodfin told the Montgomery Advertiser the driver “is no longer employed” by the district following the Tuesday incident. It was not clear whether the driver resigned or was terminated.

An investigation was launched just after 5 p.m. Thursday. The district then announced the driver would not be working for Autauga Count Schools anymore.
