A man was killed early Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Hoover.

The wreck happened at 1:12 a.m. in the southbound lanes about one-quarter of a mile south of the Old Rocky Ridge Road bridge.

Capt. Keith Czeskleba said the driver of the Jeep Wrangler lost control and overturned. He was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene.

The fatality victim’s name is being withheld until his family is notified.

Hoover police traffic officers are investigating.
