Drinks near ‘unflushed toilet,’ ribs in sink: Jefferson County’s worst restaurant health scores in December 2024
Nine restaurants scored 84 or below on their health inspections in December, meaning they will be getting a second visit from the county health department within 60 days.
While inspectors did not note seeing any critters like roaches or rodents, they found restaurants using their spaces in creative (read: gross) ways, like one establishment that stored bottled and canned drinks in a bathroom.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the drinks were near an “unflushed toilet.”
Other infractions included storing foods at inappropriate temperatures — putting customers at risk for foodborne illnesses –, “black residue” and grime and debris.
