Bernard Mandrell McClendon, 44, of Dothan, died from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to Dothan Police.

McClendon was found at 6:45 a.m. in the front yard of a residence in the 1100 block of Persimmon Street.

Police believe he was shot near this location and succumbed to his injury in the yard.
