Donald Trump was quick and, well, swift when reacting to the news that Taylor Swift was endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.

Well, I actually like Mrs. (Brittany) Mahomes much better, if you want to know the truth,” Trump told Fox News. “She’s a big Trump fan.”

Swift took to social media Tuesday night to lay out her reasons for her decision.

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post, which included a link to a voter registration web site.

“I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” Trump said. “It was a just a question of time. You couldn’t possibly endorse (President Joe) Biden.

“She’s a very liberal person. She always seems to endorse a Democrat and probably pay a price for it in the market place.

“I like Brittany. I think she’s great.”

Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, made headlines weeks for publicly supporting Trump. Brittany Mahomes and Swift, who endorsed Biden in 2020, have become fast friends but their political beliefs have been a topic of conversation.
