Donald Trump has been back in office as president all of one week, and … well, it has been an interesting week.

Trump has definitely shaken things up, and it will take time to see how the flurry of moves pans out. But folks — especially Las Vegas oddsmakers — are already looking ahead to who comes next in 2028.

Yes, there are Vegas odds out for that, and JD Vance is the current front-runner on just about every list. But, scroll down a bit on most of them and Donald Trump Jr.’s name is in the odds, too.

Could Trump Jr. really give following in his father’s footsteps a shot?

Well, turns out he has already broken his silence on that one.

Kind of.

Per The Hill, Trump Jr. was asked last week about a survey showing him as a leading Republican candidate in 2028.

His response?

“Oh, God,” Trump Jr. said. “No, no, no, don’t get me into trouble.

“We have to worry about this,” he continued. “Now we have to govern. We have to win, we have to fight. We have to get it done, we have to deliver on our promises.”

So, his answer was a deflection, which already makes him a well-versed politician.

Will he challenge Vance to replace his father in 2028? Time will tell.
