A shooting outside an Alabama Walmart left one person injured and another in custody.

Prattville police and firefighters were dispatched at 7:37 p.m. Sunday to the area of the Walmart Supercenter on Cobbs Ford Road on a report of shots fired.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they found a man who had been shot several times in his lower extremities. He was taken to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

A female suspect was taken into custody a short time later at a different location, police said.

The shooting is believed to have been domestic-related.

Police said more information will be released at a later time.
