A woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries in Mobile after a domestic shooting Monday that also left one man dead.

Officers responded to the situation at 1:16 p.m. Monday, according to the Mobile Police Department.The incident occurred at Sandpiper Townhomes at 4950 Government Boulevard in Mobile.

They found the severely injured woman and a deceased man who appeared to have died after shooting himself, according to the department.

“A female with life-threatening multiple gunshot wounds was located at the location and was transported to the hospital, along with a deceased male who appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the department said in a release Monday.
