No. It’s not a new breakfast restaurant.

Eggholic is an Indian street food concept coming to Birmingham’s Five Points South area in the former Waffle House space. This will be the restaurant’s first location in Alabama.

A spokesperson for Eggholic said Birmingham was chosen as the location for several reasons. “The city has a vibrant food scene and a diverse population that appreciates unique dining experiences,” said Bhavana Singh. “Additionally, Birmingham’s central location in the state makes it easily accessible to residents from all over Alabama.”

Eggholic’s menu focuses on creating innovative dishes centered around eggs. The restaurant offers a wide variety of egg-based dishes, including lunch classics with a twist, creative omelets, and multiple dinner options.

The restaurant location is currently in the planning and construction phase, but plans to open in 2024.

Eggholic was founded in Chicago in 2018, and have more than a dozen locations across the country, with several others set to open next year.

The restaurant specializes in authentic egg-based Indian dishes, including curries, sandwiches and traditional street food. Popular dishes at Eggholic include Amdavadi Touch, Surti Gotalo, Samosa Chaat, Cheese Katori, Lava Pulp, Anda Pulp, Paneer Gotalo, Anda Masala and Rajwadi Lassi.
