DNC surprise guest: Here’s what we know about potential performers
Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver a a history-making speech on Thursday at the Democratic National Convention, but the buzz has been about a performance from a surprise guest.
Pop singer Pink and country trio The Chicks are expected to perform, NBC News reports, citing sources.
Still, social media is buzzing with anticipation of an even bigger surprise. It has also been reported there is a gap in the DNC schedule, adding to the speculation.
Here are a couple of potential performers who could crash the party.
The Bey Hive and Swifties are now on high alert.
1. Taylor Swift
Swift, 34, just finished the European leg of her Eras Tour on Tuesday. Reddit users claim her private jet has since returned to Nashville. Not a terribly long flight to Chicago. According to Newsweek, Swift doesn’t appear to have any other public appearances scheduled for Thursday.
2. Beyonce
The 42-year-old “Single Ladies” singer ended her Renaissance World Tour in October. In fact, Harris has utilized Beyoncé’s 2016 song “Freedom” in her campaign ads, which has fuel speculation.
White House Political Director Emmy Ruiz posted an emoji of a bee on “X,” the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, which has added intrigue. She followed with another post, claiming her child had her phone
Then, of course, there is this.
