‘Disgusted’ Mike Wilbon: Alabama’s Brandon Miller ‘comes across as tone deaf and an arrogant idiot’
Mike Wilbon of ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption” is the latest to voice is displeasure for Brandon Miller, saying the Alabama freshman comes across as a tone-deaf idiot.
Two days after Alabama coach Nate Oats said Miller’s introduction in which he was patted down won’t happen again, Wilbon was asked if that was good enough.
“No, it’s not good enough,” Wilbon said Monday. “It’s time for the coach to be aware of something other than the score of the game and the team’s record. He doesn’t seem to be able to do that.
“His star freshman player, who – as I understand – has not run afoul of the law, specifically, comes across as tone deaf and an arrogant idiot, OK? Because he’s strutting and popping his jersey. Either he has no adults around him who are going to pull him aside and say, ‘look, son, you’ve got to behave better than this and be aware of your circumstance or we will sit your butt down. Maybe for good or run you out of here.”

Wilbon went on to say if Miller can’t see that – or anything other than the rim – then there is a bigger problem at Alabama.
