The Episcopal Diocese of Alabama ordained three priests on Wednesday in a service at Camp McDowell.

The Rev. Richard Ahlquist will be priest in charge of Holy Cross in Trussville, where he was previously deacon in charge. He graduated this year from the University of the South in Sewanee.

The Rev. David Hodnett will be priest in charge of St. Michael and All Angels Church in Anniston. He attended seminary through Sewanee’s alternative clergy training program and classes through the Alabama Integrated Ministry School.

The Rev. Jane Major will be priest in charge at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Greensboro, where she has been deacon in charge.

Bishop Glenda Curry, head of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, officiated the ordination with Assisting Bishop Brian Prior and Bishop Rob Wright of Atlanta.
