Did Bryan Harsin take a shot at Auburn following its loss to NMSU? Look at his latest post
Auburn’s nasty divorce from former head coach Bryan Harsin was pretty public as the marriage dissolved midway through the 2022 season after the Tigers found themselves on a four-game losing skid and Harsin had lost 10 of his 13 game at Auburn.
The axe finally came down on Oct. 31, 2022.
And more than one year later, it appears there still might be some hurt feelings as Harsin, who has yet to return to the coaching ranks, seemingly took a shot at Auburn in a post to his Instagram on Sunday morning.
Harsin’s Instagram post featured a photo with the words, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”
“Still True Today!,” Harsin commented below it.
Harsin’s post came just hours after Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers suffered what some are calling the worse loss in Auburn football history ― a 31-10 defeat at the hands of the New Mexico State Aggies.
Following Saturday’s loss, Freeze didn’t mince words and was critical of his team’s effort.
“You’re not going to execute if you’re not giving great effort,” Freeze said in his postgame press conference. “So it probably goes hand-in-hand. I thought our receivers ran routes in slow-motion tonight, did not get out of their breaks at the top end. We didn’t protect well. There’s nothing positive that I can say about tonight.”
Take it all for what you will, but it looks like Auburn might still be living rent free in its former head coach’s head.
