Dice game in Prichard ends in homicide and two arrested, sheriff says

Two men have been charged with murder in connection to what officials allege was a dice game gone wrong at a Prichard home, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.

Jadedeon Blount and Kenneth Padgett have been arrested and charged with the murder of Jamie Wright.

According to the sheriff’s office, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday the Prichard Police Department was contacted regarding a homicide at 2016 Helen Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, investigators from the sheriff’s office found Wright’s body face down in the front yard with several gunshot wounds.

According to MCSO, interviewed witnesses stated that an argument broke out between people playing dice which lead to Wright getting shot.

The sheriff’s office said the homicide is still under investigation as they search for a third individual.
