Derrick Henry’s hilarious Nick Saban memory about praying, then smoking Black & Mild
Every story that is revealed about Nick Saban since his retirement seems to hit different.
Perhaps it is a reminder of what the college football game has lost since the 72-year-old decided to move on as the Alabama coach.
The latest comes from Derrick Henry, who joined The Pivot, and shared a story about Saban which had the hosts in stitches.
The running back described his college coach as “old school,” and as such, has certain pet peeves.
“He couldn’t stand anybody scoring then wanting to celebrate afterward,” Henry said.
“We were in a meeting after a game. He pulled up film and show everybody. ‘You guys, stop doing that showboating, doing all that prayer hands, acting like your thanking God. Later on that night, 12 o’clock, you down there (with) Black & Milds. Got liquor and chasing (girls). Forget all that.”
