The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory at 5:11 a.m. on Friday in effect until 9 a.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.
