Deion Sanders to hold press conference, emotional video of making will posted by son
Deion Sanders and his medical team are going to hold a press conference Monday to share details of his health issues.
The Colorado Buffaloes coach, 57, posted to social media Friday that he was “back and feeling great” after he had to take some time away from team to deal with an undisclosed issue.
On Sunday night, Deion Sanders Jr. shared a May 9 video of Coach Prime talking about how serious his health issue had become while sitting in a hospital.
“Last night was tough, yesterday was tough,” Deion Sanders said. “Because I had to make a will. It’s not easy at all to think that you may not be here.”
Personnel from CU Anschutz and UC Health will join Sanders and are expected to “provide general and team updates,” university officials said in a news release.
The apparent health concerns prevented the high-profile coach from being fully involved in the football team’s spring and summer workouts this offseason. The issues also forced the two-time Super Bowl winner to miss summer football camps in Colorado.
