Deion Sanders blasts Colorado’s late start time: ‘The stupidest thing ever invented’

Deion Sanders doesn’t get it, and he is venting

The Colorado Buffaloes head coach, on his coaches show Wednesday, was frustrated with the time and day of this weekend’s game against Stanford. It’s set for Friday night matchup at 9 p.m. (10 p.m. ET).

“Who makes these 8 o’clock (Pacific time) games?” Sanders asked. “They are the dumbest thing ever. It’s the stupidest thing ever invented in life. Who wants to stay up to 8 o’clock for a darn game? What about the East Coast? I mean, do they even care about ratings if anybody’s watching it? I’m sorry, I’m venting. What are we supposed to do with the kids all day, until 8 o’clock?”

Sanders wasn’t done.

“Thank God we’re not going to be in this conference,” said Sanders.

Colorado is leaving the Pac-12 and headed to the Big 12 next season.

The Colorado Buffaloes got back to work after a win over Arizona State where coach Deion Sanders described their play as “hot garbage.” At 4-2, Colorado already exceeded the win total most oddsmakers had for a school coming off a one-win season. The Buffaloes can take another step toward bowl eligibility when they face Stanford this week.

Colorado may receive a big boost much sooner than anticipated as two-way standout Travis Hunter was cleared to practice and could potentially play. Hunter has been out since taking a late hit in the Colorado State game on Sept. 16 that sent him to the hospital with a lacerated liver.
