Decatur blitzes Buckhorn, ends 2-game losing skid
Ellis Dickman threw four touchdown passes to lead Decatur to Friday’s 52-14 victory over Buckhorn in a non-region game.
Dickman connected with Jayden Brown for two scores and one each to Jack Waller and Bo Belcher.
The Red Raiders (7-2) also got three rushing touchdowns, two from Ryan Kirk and another from Devin Haley. Roberto Toto kicked a 30-yard field goal.
Decatur led 14-0 after one quarter and outscored Buckhorn 28-7 in the second period to assert control.
Jack Rupe’s 45-yard touchdown pass to Terrence Robinson and a 3-yard Shamarion Landrum run accounted for Buckhorn’s scoring plays.
Coachspeak: “I thought we executed really well. Offensively and defensively, we played exceptionally well tonight. I kind of … saw it during the week when we got some guys healthy and healed up. What’s next?: Decatur ends its regular season next Friday at home against Scottsboro. Buckhorn plays at Grissom next week
