Debris falling from a truck wreaked havoc on Interstate 65 in Birmingham early Monday.

Birmingham’s South Precinct officers responded to a call of about 18 vehicles with flat tires, said Sgt. LaQuitta Wade. The location was near Green Springs Avenue.

“The damage was caused by debris that fell off an unknown pickup truck traveling on I-65 South,’’ Wade said.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

Clean up was underway earlier by ALDOT.
