Death investigation underway after man’s body found in Montgomery
Montgomery police are conducting a death investigation after a man’s body was found Friday afternoon.
Montgomery police and fire medics responded around 1:15 p.m. Friday to the 2200 block of East Sixth Street on a report of a found body, said Maj. Saba Coleman.
While at the scene, officers encountered a person of interest who fled into a home.
The person of interest ultimately surrendered and was detained “without incident,” Coleman said.
Police found a the body of an adult male at the scene.
The circumstances of the man’s death remained under investigation as of Friday afternoon.
