David Pollack on how Georgia passed Alabama as a program

It was something Kirby Smart learned.

That’s how Georgia managed to surpass Alabama in college football, according to college football analyst David Pollack told “The Dan Patrick Show” on Friday.

The former Georgia player and former “GameDay” analyst how the Bulldogs passed Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide.

“Kirby learned a few things a couple years ago,” Pollack explained. “Kirby’s always been disciplined. He’s always been tough. He’s always been able to recruit. …

“The biggest thing Kirby learned was, he had all that stuff already. He learned how to get players to now love each other. He learned one plus one is three. He learned that taking them away from football and building this and building camaraderie and love of teammate. He really learned that. I think that was the biggest differentiator of him being a really, really good coach and now being a great coach on his way to being an all-time great coach. It’s more than just discipline, hard work, toughness. We’ve got to be together as a team, and we’ve got to love each other and fight for one another.”
