Dave Matthews Band’s summer tour will bring it to Alabama
The Dave Matthews Band has a new album out this spring, and the related summer tour will bring it to Alabama.
According to tour information released Tuesday, the band’s 2023 summer tour will come to The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach on July 26. Presales have begun, with the general public on-sale scheduled for 10 a.m. Feb. 17.
Ticket prices for the show were not immediately available.
The band’s 10th studio album, “Walk Around the Moon,” comes out May 19. The first single, “Madman’s Eyes,” was released Tuesday. The U.S. tour also kicks off May 19; according to the initial announcement, the performance in Orange Beach will be the only date in Alabama.
Pre-orders for the physical copies of the album, including CDs ($13.98) and vinyl ($26.98-$31.98) are being taken at davematthewsband.com. According to Tuesday’s announcement, the tour will continue a partnership between Matthews and The Nature Conservancy that has resulted in the planting of 3 million trees since 2020. “Fans can join in this mission by adding an optional donation of $2 per ticket to plant a tree with The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign,” according to the announcement.
