A Dauphin Island man was killed in a single-vehicle accident just south of Mobile Friday, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a release.

The accident occurred on Alabama 193, about five miles south of Mobile, about midnight Friday. A 2015 Ford F-350 driven by 36-year-old Thomas H. Clough left the roadway, struck a culvert head wall and overturned.

Clough was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, ALEA said.
