One man is dead after an early-morning shooting in Daphne.

WPMI reported police were dispatched about 5:30 a.m. Thursday to Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe on Highway 98, not far from the Daphne Police Department, after a report of a shooting.

Officers responding to the call found a male victim. Emergency medical personnel arrived and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim died of his injuries.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains at large, according to the report. Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, wearing a dark hoodie.
