Daphne Middle School has been evacuated and Daphne East Elementary is on lockdown as police investigate an anonymous threat earlier today at the middle school.

“We are currently investigating a threat at Daphne Middle School,” a message on Facebook said Friday.

“All staff and students have been evacuated. Parents are urged not to respond to the school. Officers are diverting responding parents to Trione Park.”

Police say that all Daphne Middle School students can be checked out at Daphne East Elementary, which is next door to the middle school.

Baldwin County Public Schools has yet to release any information.
