Crowe: Is Donald Trump a flight risk?

“To my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible. There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone. But your dishonor will remain.” – Liz Cheney

Are penguins a flight risk? Only corrupt, narcissistic mob boss penguins who have their own private planes are a flight risk. So, yeah. Trump might be a flight risk. With all these new damning indictments and a court day in Miami looming on Tuesday, it might be a good time for Trump to go calling on his puppeteer in Russia or his pen pal in North Korea.

Confession: I don’t like drawing Donald Trump. Not any more.

In the America I grew up in, this narcissistic insurrection-inciting wanna-be authoritarian white supremacist traitor would be irrelevant by now. Way before now. In the America I grew up in, grifter Trump would have been laughed off that escalator before the 2016 election.

In the America I grew up in, Trump would have been (figuratively, I ain’t THAT old) tarred, feathered and ridden on a rail out of the country after what he incited on January 6, 2021. Trump has taken a once respected Republican Party hostage. He has poisoned it in his own bloated, carnival barker, election-denying, petulant self-serving authoritarian wanna-be image.

And this once Grand Old Party has allowed it. Embraced it. And is begging for more. His sycophants are now lying out of their collective pie holes to double and triple down in defense of their chosen ridiculous, buck-nekkid emperor. These pathetic creatures have no choice.

But we do.

No, I don’t like drawing Trump. But I will. Until he is comfortably irrelevant.
