Schreiber Foods has voluntarily recalled cream cheese spreads from Aldi and other retailers due to potential salmonella contamination.

The recalled cream cheese spreads were distributed nationwide to Aldi, Hy-Vee, Schnucks, and Hornbacher’s in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Schreiber Foods was notified that its whey protein concentrate used in several cream cheese spreads may have been contaminated with salmonella.

The following products have been recalled:

• Happy Farms Whipped Cream Cheese Spread, 8-ounce cups. UPC No. 4099100101881. Best-by dates: 08/30/2024; 08/31/2024, 09/01/2024, 09/03/2024, and 09/04/2024
• Happy Farms Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread, 8-ounce cups. UPC No. 4099100101744. Best-by dates: 07/19/2024CH, 07/26/2024CH, 07/29/2024 CH, 08/02/2024CH, 08/04/2024CH, 08/05/2024CH, 08/09/2024CH, 08/11/2024CH, 08/17/2024CH, 08/23/2024CH, and 08/25/2024CH
• Hy-Vee Cream Cheese Spread, 12-ounce cups. Best-by dates: 10/1/24
• Hy-Vee Whipped Cream Cheese Spread, 8-ounce cups. Best-by dates: 8/7/2024 and 8/14/2024
• Schnucks Whipped Cream Spread, UPC No. 4131858005. Best-by date: 8/8/2024
• Schnucks Strawberry Spread, UPC No. 4131858007. Best-by date: 9/8/2024
• Schnucks Cream Cheese Spread, UPC No. 4131858023. Best-by date: 10/8/2024
• Hornbachers Essential Everyday Garden Vegetable Cream Cheese Spring, 8-ounce containers. Best-by date: 09/01/24

At this time, there have been no reported illnesses related to this recall.
